The Poll Results

I was amazed through the flooded comments when I return into blogging after the board exam last july. So it made me so inspired to blog more but with things that mostly interested my avid viewers so I set up a poll in my archives for me to determine and as the poll closed it says that there are more or less 58 voters (because I really don’t know if others do multiple voting or so).

I’m very flattered because these numbers are beyond what I expected, I only thought that my dear 3i and other friends who know this blog would be the one who’ll vote but I assume that there are other viewers who is not that familiar who answer the poll and gave me the jurisdictions.

However, the poll is intended to determine my strengths and weaknesses in terms of choosing a topic. I presume that it will help me capture the interest of the most if I can determine which they like the most and the results are as follows:

The table shown that among the categories my literary works have been the interest by most of our viewers with 32% or 19 votes while the lowest vote was obtained by advertisements with 6 % or 4 votes. However Insights/Opinions have 31% or 18 votes and Personal Experiences got 29% or 17 votes.

I never thought that my literary works would be mostly supported as I featured only few of them here such as Sweet Revenge, The Ex matters and My Sole Fight. I never thought that it would be more appreciated by my viewers and among these three ‘Sweet Revenge’ receives more good feedbacks that was sent to me via e-mail; I never guess that this first literary post messages would be the sign that they’re loving it. Thanks anyway! However, here are the lists of the topics disseminated in its proper category just to summary the content of my blog

And look at that, I only have 3 literary works yet it was the most liked by my dear viewers. Well don’t worry guys I’ll try my best to do another great literary ads and I just hope for your continuous support.

I would also love to say thank you for the feedbacks and views for my most talked entry (here are the top 12):

• Sweet Revenge
• The Ex Matters
• To draw or not to draw the line
• MU=MU
• Sorrows of a Nursing Student
• The Passion of war
• Travelling Helps you move on
• Sex in Men’s Room
• July 2010 NLE
• Sex in Men’s Room
• My Sole Fight
• Never Talk as if You’ll never repent

(Via comments and via e-mail and via fb too. haha)

I can never explain how I feel sharing this information to you but as of now all I want is to express my deepest gratitude of having all of you as followers. Your feedbacks encourages me to make my works better and I just hope that I will still have all you as time goes by… God Bless You All and Long live!

BulSU-PMART Thanksgiving

We are invited by our alma mater community yesterday September 23, 2010 at 5 p.m. for a thanksgiving mass and celebration to the continuing success of the school and of course the successful passers of the recent July 2010 Nursing Licensure Examination.

The said thanksgiving was sponsored or should I say arranged by the BSU-CON in house Review Group: PMART Center for International Review who guide us during school days in preparation for the board exam.

Numerous “new RNs” attended the program it’s almost a reunion and a victory party jam packed. We had our conversations with our mentors and so as to our colleagues.

After the Mass, it was followed by the program hosted by our M.S lecturer before Mr. Levi Santana where in meals are disseminated and so as the souvenir pen lights which will be very useful in our future field: The hospital/Community. Then followed by our advisers’ speech which really enlightens us and put us in a span of sentiments knowing after several days or so our license will be in our hands and as we hold it we also hold the duty of a real nurse. Similar to the final speech of Mr. Tadle (The head of PMART) who challenge us to build our dreams and ask ourselves where will I be now? What’s the next step?

What’s the next step? – This question still lingers on my mind as I find too many answers for this that leads me to confusion. Of course we can now practice our profession and we may choose not too it always depends on us. It matters with the bitterness of reality that we really need to make something for a living and it’s the main reason why we strive hard to gain this license but the current nursing field is still not easy we still have to suffer a little bit more though our destination will not be that commendable that’s why some of us crossed the line and tried other fields which will make them stable but no matter what happened we only have to bear in mind that we end up as Nurses and the heart of a nurse will still rely on our hearts, the art of caring and the art of nursing. As an advice? Always follow your heart. Goodluck my colleagues!

JULY 2010 NLE PASSERS OATH TAKING

Nurses have full of responsibilities and most of these are life threatening and life-matters therefore, we-as new nurses shall pledge that we must do our best to do these tasks with the best way that we can.

The Oath taking for new nurses was held in Mall of Asia – SMX Convention Center in Pasay City last September 20-21, 2010. There are 4 batches (September 20, 2010: A.M and P.M, Spetember 21, 2010 A.M and P.M) where in schools are disseminated into proper timetable and I, together with the whole BSU Newly Nurse Community, we are scheduled by September 21, 2010, afternoon (the last batch).

The Oath taking Ceremony was organized by the PNA (Philippine Nurses Association) and it encompasses Pledge to Profession and Pledge as a member of the said organization, the program also entails us to meet our new superiors; the Board of Nursing as they gave us a warm welcome and an inspirational speech as well.

It’s really nice experiencing the every step of becoming a professional, but we must bear in mind that in each step there’s a corresponding realization of the saddled responsibilities. We are not here just to work and earn but to serve and care.

Right now, we already pledged and spoken our vows thus the responsibilities is now put up with, and from then on we should practice professionalism through the things taught to us in school and being open too for the remaining facts in our future field.

Professionalism in a way what the nurse do, Professionalism by the things we give care without asking anything in return, Professionalism in a way of empathizing our patients concern, Professionalism by simply being a RN = Real Nurse :)

A Good Friend leaved…

“True Friends are hard to find. Not all your best friends are true but all your true friends are better than best” that’s my favorite quotation when it pertains friendship and seeking more friends, yes I have plenty of friends and plenty of best friends but not all of them are considered the “best-est”. there are best friend who’s only there when they need you, there are best friends who only call you as one though it doesn’t show but most of best friend are not just best, they’re also true and this friend of mine who left is not just a BEST but a True Friend.

We never often mind each other when we are in high-school, we even never thought that we have same disposition that binds us this past few years. After 4 years from high school we celebrate a small reunion with our circle of friends and since then, we often hang out for shopping, for bar hopping, or even to share cups of coffee. We are both “gimikera’s” and we often contact each other whenever we want to freshen up our minds and enjoy and most of the time we go to comedy bars and there we laught and later on we exchanges our problem and exchange advices too. And then she suddenly said that she’ll go abroad to earn better and last Saturday, we celebrate her despedida party together with my thanksgiving party for them, and the birthday of one of our friends.

Well it is a triple celebration, but we more felt the sadness of her leaving. She have been a good friend, she’s actually our event organizer (for our get together and out of town trips etc etc) and of course, her absence will be missed.

The point of this blog is to let your friends feel how much you value them, you may never know they’ll leave you someday and never come back and guilt feeling from a friend is worse than a guilt feeling from a lover. Value your friend as if they’re always leaving… I just did, I always did and I always will…

THE PNA Experience

Yes, we passed the board exam (I’m Proud to say that) but the entire thing doesn’t end in just passing the board exam. Passing the alleged exam doesn’t mean that you have to stand there and wait until your superiors processed your papers and give your license after, passing the NLE have more obstacles before you can say that you are now a real nurse.

Oath Taking intercedes after the result of the NLE and of course we are so excited for that special day. But the foreseen process of application is not a joke as we never anticipated that it is full of obstacles before you could claim your ticket for the program and be a member of Philippine Nurses Association (as they’re the one who facilitates it).

We decided to go to PNA last Monday (September 6, 2010) and we all agreed to go there earlier so we can accomplish things early too. So we left by 5:00 a.m. and arrived in our destination by 6:00 a.m. but we are so surprised of the long line before you could be entertained and have the papers you’ll need and due to that long line the facilitator announced that they can only accommodate 1200 applicants and so we’re bring to a halt and never filed our application that day.

So it is a lesson learned, so we went to PNA 3 hours earlier and get there by 3 o’clock in the morning the day after, September 7, 2010 yet we’re still surprised as a lot of fresh passers are already there for the line and luckily we in the range of 200-300 as of headcount. Application Forms and Numbers for sequences were given by 6 a.m. and amazingly, the process is quite swift and the only barrier is the big number of students that makes the place crowded.

We finished the whole course by 10 a.m. and what a blast when I’m finally done, I also said “O Ayan! Member nako nang PNA! Mag o-oath taking na ko, natapos ko ang application dito, pwede nang umiyak!” (Well see! I’m a member of PNA now! I’ll be having my oath taking soon, I finished the process of application here, and we can now shed our tears of joy!)

Well, it is a series of steps before you could say that you are a real nurse and it’s very relieving that you are achieving those steps and you can leisurely feel that you are going to be a real nurse someday.

By now, all we have to do is to wait for our hope-to-be last process which is the PRC application for the license and though the application will be this hard, we’ll strive for it and give our maximum patience as it is the step, to claim the dream we just work on with.

However our Oath taking will be on September 21, 2010 by 1:00 p.m. at Mall of Asia SMX Convention Center
