Crime of Passion

I was shocked last Tuesday, September 20 upon hearing the news of a shooting incidence in a mall at San Fernando, Pampanga, the incidence was not a typical shooting incident whereas there are exchanges of gunshots or even due of illegal matters because the incidence was merely a suicide and actually it is considered as a crime of passion.

According to the investigation, the two men found dead were actually lovers (yes! They’re presumed gay couple) and they’re just 13 and 17 year old, the thirteen year old was believed to shoot the other men and later on shoot himself as well, a note inside his bag and the statement on his shirt (which he made personally as what he said in his facebook account) were the evidence that drives them to this conclusion.

When I first watch the news I was not actually minding it, I just said “ano bay an! Ang sarap sarap mabuhay pero sinayang nila! Keba-bata pa!” (what was that! It’s so wonderful to live but they just wasted it! They were too young either!) without considering the other part of the story…

Charice Pempengco is Quiet Offensive

It has been a Filipino pride when Charice Pempengco was known in international scene by a youtube hits that captures the attention of certain powerful people in the world e.g. Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey who helped her a lot to be on top of her goals.

Charice is considered the International Singing Sensation of the Philippines, the Filipinos are so proud of her achievements which she never attain on her own country though her fans tried to keep her on track, that is why when she enter the better and bigger scene, her fan and fellowmen did not stop her but supports her all the way.
But I think, Charice is now turning her back from her own motherland, I’m not saying that she is a traitor for her own nation but I think she just possess disrespect on being a real Filipino.

Another Pinoy Pride Shamcey Supsup – Ms. Universe 2011 3rd Runner Up

It’s been a year since Venus Raj got the legendary comeback to Ms. Universe as she was crowned to be the Ms. Universe 2010 4th Runner up, yes it is legendary as after 11 long years of no place at all Ms. Venus Raj broke it but look what just happened a while ago, another Filipina made it into the final five and made that legend more legendary in a consistent way as Shamcey Supsup just bag the Ms. Universe 2011 3rd Runner Up title.

Well actually, I was not surprised that Shamcey will end Ms. Universe with something as during her Bb. Pilipinas days, she is one of the ladies who really capture my attention.

kung nasa pilipinas tayo… (if we were in the Philippines…. )

This entry is somewhat related to my trip in Singapore, I just researched that Singapore isn’t a first world country. According to wikepedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_World), Japan, Israel, South Korea and Taiwan (ROC) are the only asian countries listed in the first world nations but yet I am so amazed on how rich the country of Singapore… they were very modern, updated and is dubbed to have a tiger economy and yet they’re not considered as one of the reigning country… I think they’re a bit closer, but how about the Philippines? My motherland? It is too far from Singapore’s success and definitely farther than those first world countries.

When I was in Singapore, whenever I see certain idealism I always ought to say ‘kung nasa pilipinas tayo… (if we were in the Philippines…. )….
