To Forgive is not to Forget

Forgive and Forget. We usually say it whenever our friends had a trouble and you want the old times get back again, it’s nice to get the usual thing again but it’ll never always happen because I just found out how hard to forgive and then forget after.

I’m a kind of person who can swallow pride to save the relationship but I’m also a kind of person who’s after swallowing pride yet no consequent effort from the other part then I’m ready to let go and once I said I let go, I won’t get back to it again as much as possible. It’s not that I’m having a tall pride, my soaring pride usually takes place after I give my lowest one, so I think it’s not bad saying “I give up” though the other party says “I’ll give up for now, let’s reconcile later” but I’m not that kind although I allotted time for healing purposes, yes! It is always needed in certain misunderstandings. It is a vital feature that will help fix things, but it’s better to say “We are not good for now..” than saying “We are not good!” cause it just elucidates that both parties are not good and you put it in a closed ended manner.

I’ve a lot of foes. Not actually foes because I hit them up in school in verbal, physical or any other means. We usually became friends at first but ended it by misunderstandings. Misunderstanding that I tried to fix with my best efforts but that efforts wasn’t appreciated and not answered in return, so I can’t do anything about that so I just let that misunderstanding be misunderstood forever than trying to fix it, when the initiatives is only within you.

It’s not good to have a lot of adversaries, but it’s not healthy as well to have none though there a lot on your back. It’s better to set off things, than pretend that it was fixed though it’s really not. But I’m not angry with them; I also care to them… News to them will be an input but still, I don’t want to be involved in such news with them.

Maybe I can forgive because I still Care but I think I can’t forget the unappreciated efforts with no corresponding deed from them.

I tried to fix it. They did not. Let time tell if we’ll be able to fix or not.

Let us listen to Prof. Winnie Monsod

Lately I just realized that I’m a bit nationalistic. I’ve an opportunity before to work abroad and at first I’m so excited to work there but then after realizing things I backed out. My family is the primary reason why I don’t want to work outside the country, 2 years is the shortest duration of the contract and I can’t bear for that 2 years of being alone, without them by my side. Secondly, I will definitely miss my country. I was born here and therefore I know that I was meant to be here forever: I have plans of going in other countries as well but only for a tour, I never dreamt of staying there for a long time, Working abroad isn’t always the answer to have a beautiful life, I believe that it’s all with the dedication and determination of each person. I love my family and I love my country and I cannot afford to mislay these two love of mine.

Let us listen to Professor Winnie Monsod, an economist and a professor at University of the Philippines for her wonderful thoughts. Let us reflect that working in other countries isn’t the answer.

Justice for Nurse FLORENCE

Nurse has a caring heart and it is constant, I think no nurse passed the board exam without realizing who they are, what their worth is and what would be the path they’ll come up to.

Upon studying, we all know that Nurses nowadays doesn’t offer first rate kind of employment as they are dealing with life-death situation, and what match up to it is a not-so-good salary offer which is very dissimilar to what other countries can bid. In relation to that, Global crisis disintegrated and Nursing offer abroad are being limited but still we pursue our studies though a comfortable life is now a bit impossible. Let me add the huge number of nurses now who are still jobless but are still willingly waiting for their turn to serve our nation (though through volunteering in hospitals or in community) just because we wanted to fulfill our call of duty: we wanted to serve, we wanted to give care (despite working voluntarily) yet a true nurse is still there to give his/her all and now, after all those sacrifices? Does a Nurse deserve what happened to Nurse Florence? She sacrificed but then she was abused and almost killed!

Nurse Florence is a volunteer nurse in Maguindanao via NARS Program (Nurse Assigned in Rural Service) and was raped by not just one person, and after that hilarious thing she was almost killed as evidenced by the hits and bruises, lacerations et.al. She got from those f*ck**g guys and now, I wouldn’t even wonder if she would be forever disabled.

A real Nurse has an empathic heart and we feel our deepest compassion for nurse Florence and his sorrows and we want justice for her and justice for us Nurses! The government doesn’t prioritize us though there are lots of unemployed nurses who weren’t given enough corresponding actions but we still didn’t stipulate for that, and now a nurse was there physically abused! Oh how justice shall be given, It should be given! And those suspects should be given corresponding penalties that would tell the public what’s the real worth of a nurse.

And for the rest, please always appreciate nurse’s endeavors. Nurses always care for their patients, nurses can sacrifice just for the good sake of everybody and It really hurts knowing that we might be discourteously treated by people we wanted to heed. Nurses are like your mother. A Mother who always care, and a mother who’s always willing to serve you although she knew that from the start she wouldn’t have anything in return.

Please Pray for Nurse Florence Justice!
