My Thesis Title Defense

These are my three titles 

I am cramming! I remember that it'll be a day before my thesis title defense and yet I am not prepared. My materials are not yet ready and I don't have any presentations ready yet and aside from that I still have to go to work and right after that will be hours before that defense. Luckily, I have made it but it only gave me only 4 hours to sleep and prepare for work.

I really don't know what'll happen it's just happen the day went away and I can really feel the pressure that day. 

I came in half an hour earlier than my scheduled time and what added my pressure is that my Thesis adviser is not yet there, I am so sad that time because I really wanted to meet this young woman who I have heard a lot of things of, however I am being given a new adviser and this adviser is not so new to me thus, I know that I am in good hands.

The prior thesis title defender (which happens to be one of my friend) called me after a while and told me that it is now my turn and I could prepare my things inside. I went inside hurriedly as I don't wanted these panels to wait for long, I don't wanted to make an impression. I even dressed to impress that time.

As I entered the room they're all looking at me but what makes me feel confident is when my adviser looked at me and smiled at me. However, it seems like my day is not that good and my laptop's built in mouse isn't working!! I left the mouse at home and the mouses near the vicinity is not the USB type oh! my God! another pressure here

"You may start even without the presentation, we have our copies anyway" the research coordinator said.

and I said "Okay! Just relax! I should nail it, as I don't have my presentation they should be impressed still with my what I am gonna do"

So I started the day with an apology but still proceed with it. Everything seems to be rehearsed though I am really not that prepared and so I just put more enthusiasm and confidence on it.

Of course! I introduced myself first, My School, the reason why I decided to take Masters degree program and the reason why I decided to make it a thesis program. I even added some stories on how I come up with the study to them,  there are also personal experience to never make it so boring and fair enough, they're even giving me some insights during the discussion.

Until they let me stop, and I know this is it. It'll be more extensive as they will start questioning me.

Luckily, I was able to answer all the questions and all the suggestion has been noted. of course, that'll be for the better of the study. Actually, there's actually a point that one of the panel told me why not focus on one side (as my study pertains to comparison) and my answer is

"Ma'am, based on the previous studies that I have read they all did that. They just focus on one factor and the aim of my study is to compare these factors and If ever, I will be the first in the Philippines or maybe in the whole world to conduct this type of study among nurses"

"So you wanted to pursue that still?" She asked me

"Yes, Ma'am. I am so determined to be the first one to release this type of study" I said with confidence

my adviser smiled at me

and they all agreed.

"All right, then congratulations Mr. Zerrudo. Work on with your adviser, for the next step" The research coordinator relayed.

I almost jump co'z of joy.

I have been so alive after and it does not seems like I don't have any sleep at all. we even share some stories and personal thesis title defense encounter in the library and have some lunch in McDonalds.

we part ways at 3 in the afternoon and decide to hang out at night. However, we are all tired and no one woke up by the time we agreed. we decided to postponed it this Saturday then.   

Thank God! My work has been paid off, now I am so excited for my Thesis Proposal Defense :)
