We Gora sa Bora! (We went to Boracay)

It has been a dream of mine to go to this wonderful place called Bora. I ought to invite most of my closest friends to go there but none of them agreed. Thus, I thought that going to Boracay will always be a fantasy but not until one of my colleagues in my Masters class invited me and I thought everything is just a casual invitation but not until we booked in Travel Online and paid for it two months before the trip and it seems like everything has a distinction that it’ll happen and everyday makes me so excited for this trip and it all went done so well!

We were supposed to be four on our trip until one of us experienced an unavoidable circumstances thus, she prefer not to go and her lover (who’s suppose to be with us as well) never go as well. How sweet. But that didn't stop me and the other companion as we still pursue it and had the fun no matter what.

Our departure from Manila International Airport 4 was last Thursday. We arrived at the airport by past 10 a.m wherein our flight is by 11:30 a.m. haha we’re late as we should arrived two hours before right? But luckily, the service in the airport is pretty quick as we checked in and had the process by 10:30 a.m. so we shared our breakfast and waited for the plane and the impressing thing is that, the plane is on time J

After 40 minutes, we landed at Kalibo, Aklan and we are almost half way there. We have to take the 2 hour travel by the Bus of our Island Tour agency: The Island Star Express, wherein their service is never such a disappointment (I highly recommend this agency), their bus is comfortable with wide seat enough for you to relax during the travel and they keep on accommodating us for every single step we will be taking. Next stop would be the Caticlan Jetty Port wherein we have to take a 20 minute boat ride to land in Boracay and finally we are there with all the excitement in me, plus the Gutom (Hungry) factor that we can almost eat a human alive! We haven’t had our lunch yet and it’s almost 3 in the afternoon.

After checking in the hotel and unpacked our bags we hurriedly looked for our destination for lunch 2 pizzas from Red Coconut Bar (A very not-so-meaty-traditional-but-taste-good-somehow pizza) and in Mang Inasal as my friend is craving for unlimited rice. And after we had our lunch we prepared ourselves, changed outfits and had our massage in Nugi-Nugi. A 30 minute Body Massage, and it is so relaxing and then after that we spent our dinner in Nugi Nugi Noo Noo restaurant and shared orders of banana split and that’s our dinner! Haha we’re still full with the rice and big chicken of Mang Inasal.

And then, My friend decided to swim and enjoy the night and I am just watching him. I don’t wanna swim yet and besides it’s kinda cold to swim at night by the beach right? So I just seize the moment to relax, lay at the sand and watch the stars. Oooh! So relaxing and after that we fixed ourselves for the main event. The Boracay Part-ey! We went to Coco Manggas Shooters. A very nice place with lots of foreigners (Koreans, Indians, Americans etc) and we drank, we danced and met a lot of foreigners who loved to dance with my friend. Somebody gave me a beer by the way… and I feel so complimented. Lolz

It is almost three when we headed back to the hotel and we have to wake up by 7am for our breakfast and luckily, we woke up on time and spent breakfast in La Carmela Hotel Buffet-Breakfast and I really loved their Kimchi and then my friend swam again. I go to have my henna tattoo instead and after that we go on our booked Island Hopping wherein we went snorkeling, Go to the Cove (But since I am a claustrophobic we decided not to enter), Had a buffet lunch (I so loved the barbe-que, I think I had 12 sticks haha) and then we swam at Puka Beach… and we spent that Island hopping with a found friend named Kelly, a Canadian and she is a traveler and she is a writer (Oh, how I love her job and what her doing… imagine she have been with almost all of the countries in southeast asia and with her boyfriend) and she introduced us to her English boyfriend named Lee (I so love his eyes and his accent) and we just chat for some more and add each other on Facebook.

We do shopping Pasalubong’s before we headed back to the hotel and we had our Dinner at Villa de Oro, with a lot of grilled stuff’s we decided to cancel our plan of having another set of massage and bar hopping as we both induced to sleep after that heavy dinner.

Going back to Manila

We headed back in Manila the day after and It seems like I felt so sad that I am leaving this nice place but we have too: I don’t have enough funds to stay there. My plane/flight was booked on that day. I have to go back to work and I have to see my Kids (I soo miss them).

Boracay is the Best Place I have ever been yet. This place is not that sentimental that I have forgotten all of my struggles in life. In here, I felt that I am having a new life and maybe that is the reason why it has been called paradise. I will miss Boracay. There are a lot of people in different races who is in there and it seems like everyone is equal. The view is so fine. The price for the food and stuffs are just the same with manila not the pricey as expected. The Bar experience is damn good! Boracay residents are all nice. The food, they're killing my eyes as if I wanted to eat them all! and the Beach is such a wonder! this is my first time in boracay and I know that there will be more to come. I'll definitely go back to this paradise and will try the 15 shooters, the Parasailing, the helmet diving, the banana boat ride, the Guilly’s Island Bar, the Flying Fish and the Ariel’s Point Cliff Diving Wew! I still have a lot of things to do in Boracay and It only means I will come back soon!
